ABI Section 2- Day 3 Stormy Skies but Sunny Spirits!
Despite the rain, there were so many species active in the Davis Wetlands! Using the Merlin app was super helpful for identifying the different bird species we heard chirping around us. We also observed a variety of plants and insects! There was a surprising amount of biodiversity, and it was exciting to see how alive the wetlands were in rainy conditions!
- Seeing geese
- A flock of Pelicans
- Finding a bird egg
- Bumble bee
- Damsel fly
- Tree Frog

After about 40 minutes of scavenger hunting, we regrouped and moved on to our final site in the Bypass. At this last location, we found even more insects and frogs, along with many dead crustaceans!

- Calculate your points from the scavenger hunt and be ready to share your total on Tuesday for a chance to win a prize from Mia - WHOOP WHOOP!
